The first stop was in Giavera, Italy where all the TECNICA products are made....The step by step process of how a Ski Boot is made is really unbelievable. From the creation of the mold and the perfect fit for every size, all the way to the detail of graphic placement on the boot -  this makes you realize how much craftsmanship really does go into a pair of ski boots.

We saw the all new 2010/11 boots on the assembly line - the colors are vibrant and we are excited to introduce this to you for next season!

After our trip through the factory we headed 4 hours to Mittersill, Austria. This is where the Blizzard Ski factory is nestled between the green rolling hills and happy cows of Austria. We had a tour of how the skis were made from start to finish, talk about "hands on" - We watched one factory worker start with a piece of wood - and then go through the process of inserting the IQ channels into the ski, plus all the other materials that make our skis ski so effortlessly. At the end of the whole process there was one person who was testing the flex of EVERY ski, and making sure the bases, and final product was ready to go before being shrink wrapped.

We soon will have a video of how this whole process works - the passion that goes into each ski is amazing, and something worth seeing.
